Eve’s Lament (Genesis)
from Genesis 3
Lyrics
Verse 1:
I wandered far away with my love
I feelthe tall grass on my legs
The sun is warm, the birds are singing
I should’ve run when I had the chance
Verse 2:
I felt him sliding up beside me
His words they played upon my pride
I felt the lie wrap all around me
I let his whisper hypnotize
Chorus:
Did He really say it? Why is He keeping you down?
Don’t you want to taste it? Freedom without Him around?
Don’t you want to know? Don’t you want to choose?
You want it, don’t you? Don’t you?
Verse 3:
I took the fruit of my desire
Sweet the poison in my mouth
Awake, awake the the fall, the fire
The lie constricts, the curse clamps down
Chorus
Bridge:
Shame the venom running through my veins
A curse, a cancer and my deathA
nd every childof mine, will feel the serpent’s bite
But one will crush his head
But one will crush his head
Oh come and crush his head!
Crush his head!

He Has Made a Way
Lyrics
Verse 1:
On the edge of that sea
The waves are high and the water deep
At your back an enemy
With chariots and swords
Don’t you fear, stand your ground
The Lord’s gonna fight this battle
You have only to shut your mouth
Believe and don’t get rattled
Verse 2:
Watch that man raise his staff
Watch that sea divide in half
Your enemy gonna need a raft
When the waves come tumblin’ down
Lift your voice when you reach the shore!
Sing that song and praise the Lord
The Promised Land it lies before
Children, go on down
Chorus:
He has made a way!
He has made a way!
He has made a way!
Verse 3:
Sinners come to a chasm deep
With heavy chains, we’re bound to sink
He comes on over here to lead
To that Golden Shore
Come on y’all, it’s solid ground
Grab a friend, and come on down
Our chains are gone
We’re homeward bound
To that Golden Shore
Chorus
Bridge:
I was at the bottom of the sea!
(He has made a way)
He reached on down and delivered me!
(He has made a way)
Now we are bound for God’s good Land!
(He has made a way)
Let’s walk with joy as we follow Him!
(He has made a way)
He has made way!
Chorus:
He has made a way!
He has made a way!
He has made a way!
He has made a way!

Only the Sick Need a Physician
Lyrics
Verse 1:
Who is this man who sits with the sinners
Who dines with the drunkards
And loves the unclean
Oh who is this man who won't cast a stone
But honors the harlot
Who washes his feet, sayin’
Chorus:
Come, scarlet letters
You outcasts and debtors
I will call you my friends
I'll sit at your table
You broken and fatal
‘Cause only the sick need a physician
Oooooh
Verse 2:
Who is this man who calls God a father
The son of a blue collar carpenter man
Who calls us unclean, like tombs full of bones
We keep our religion, but whitewash our sin
Sayin’ be born again
Chorus
Verse 3:
And what kind of God would hang on a tree
Despised and rejected and nailed to the wood
You saved all the others, but can’t save yourself?
We don’t need you Jesus,we’re well and we’re good
And you're nailed to the wood
We never understood
There is none who is good! So

The Two Lost Sons (Luke 15)
Lyrics
Verse 1:
I have been the younger son
Chase my pleasure, chase my fun
Build castles in the sand
My own Promise Land
When my kingdoms crumble down
The famine comes, I bottom out
Well I can hear your voice Call for yourlittle boy
Pre-Chorus 1:
But you were more of a means than a Father
You were drownin’ my dreams underwater
Chorus:
My child, my child I’ll run out to meet you
Come into my house What’s lost can be found
My child, my child come into the party
All I have is yours Don’t stand outside my door
All I have is yours
Verse 2:
I have been the elder son
Slavin’ til the work is done
Just tryin’ to earn my keep
Nothing comes for free
Bitterness was in my blood
From all this tryin’ to be enough
But you love that wayward son
Oh but look at what I’ve done
Pre-Chorus 2:
You were more of a means than a Father
I acted like an employee,
Not a son,not a daughter
Chorus
Bridge:
Don’t let your pride get in the way
You don’t need to earn my love
Don’t let your guilt get in the way
You don’t need to earn my love
All of those rules that you keep or you break
You don’t need to earn my love
There is a Son that has already paid
You don’t need to earn it
You don’t need to deserve it
Come home, come home!
Chorus
Outro:
Come into my joy!
All I have is yours

There is a Mountain
a gospel invitation from Isaiah 25:6-9, Isaiah 55
Lyrics
Verse 1:
There is a mountain only the lame can climb
There is a table only the hungry find
Only the beggar will have the currency
When need is all you need
Verse 2:
There is a victory only the conquered gain
There is a glory that you get when give up your name
Oh the peace when you finally yield yourfight
In surrender rise
Chorus:
Come with open hands in need
Come hearts broken, bended knee
A gift can only be received
Received
Verse 3:
Come to the mountain, He carries the cripple to the feast
Come to the table, come sit,He has saved you a seat
Come and eat and drink without money and without a cost
He has paid it on the cross
Chorus
Bridge:
The King bends low to wash our feet
To give himself as an offering
To lead us home to that wedding feast
We taste it now, at last we’ll eat
Of that richest food, oh that well-aged wine
The shroud will lift, our tears he’ll dry
Come hungry souls be satisfied
Both now and forever

We Draw Near (Hebrews)
from Hebrews 4, 9, 10
Lyrics
Verse 1:
Year by year, in the temple
Blood was shed by the priest
To atone for the people
But it could not make them clean
Pre-Chorus 1:
Til He came, spotless Lamb
Offered himself, put away sin
Once and for all, once and for all
It is finished!
Chorus:
So, we draw near
We boldly come
Jesus, our righteousness
Washedby his blood
We draw near
To your throne of grace
Jesus, our confidence
Seeking your face
Verse 2:
Our High Priest, Word made flesh
Worthy of the Holy Place
Curtain torn, at His death
Christ the new and living way
Pre-Chorus 2:
Rising up, he entered in
He sat down, at Your right hand
He is alive, He is alive!
Interceding!
Chorus
Bridge (2x):
Let our praises
Rise up as an incense
Filled with reverence and awe
Let our lives be
Poured out for your glory
Pleasing to You God

Do Not Lose Heart
Lyrics
Though outwardly we waste away
Our flesh and foe assail us
Though we grow weary on the way
The promise will not fail us
We feel the ache, our spirits groan
We long for full redemption
When God will bring His children home
Forever to be with Him
Do not lose heart, our hope is stronger
Jesus is risen up
Do not lose heart, our king has conquered
And He will overcome
Though suffering is long and hard
It’s only momentary
Compared to heaven’s great reward
Eternal weight of glory
We fix our eyes upon the cross
Where he endured our shame
We hold to love that can’t be lost
And joy that will not fade
Do not lose heart, our hope is stronger
Jesus is risen up
Do not lose heart, our king has conquered
And He will overcome
So we will overcome
Bought with the blood
Sealed by the Spirit
When the storm rises
We will not fear it
Beloved children
Heirs of the Father
He is our trust
Our hope is stronger

Habakkuk's Prayer (Still I Will Rejoice)
Taken directly from Habakkuk 3:17-19. In the beginning of the book, Habakkuk questions God's justice as he anticipates His judgment on Judah through Babylon. But by the end, Habakkuk trusts God - as evidenced by this beautiful prayer. As Job blessed God's name even in the midst of personal disaster, Habakkuk blesses God's name and vows to rejoice in Him even in anticipation of national disaster.
Lyrics
Though the fig tree does not blossom
And no fruit be on the vine
Though the fields all will fail
And the flock we cannot find
Still I will rejoice
I will take joy in the Lord
The God of my salvation
He is my strength
He makes my feet like the deer
To dwell in the high places
And still I will rejoice

All the Stars
Lyrics
You followed me out to desert places
Leaving all familiar faces
To a land I will
Show you, promise you
Lift your eyes and look around you
Know my promise will be found true
All the land you see, will your children’s be
And all the stars in the big, big sky
And all the sand in the oceans wide
Will not outnumber, will not outnumber you
All the people in the big, big world
All the nations of the earth
They will wonder, they will wonder at you
From your blood shall come kings
Everlasting, everlasting
My covenant will be steadfast and free
From you shall come many nations and generations
They will be my lot, and I will their God
But up on the mountain the stars lose their light
An ocean of sorrows you raise the knife
But I will rememberand I will provide
The blood for the altarand raise up his life

Breath of God
Lyrics
The Breath of God, the Promised One
Filled their mouths and loosed their tongues
To sing the praise of the risen Son
The mighty works that God has done
The breath of God on daughters, sons
He is poured out on old and young
To sing the praise of the risen Son
The mighty works that God has done
O breath of God, O Spirit come
Fill our mouths, And loose our tongues
To sing the praise of the risen son
The mighty works that God has done
In these last days, everyone
Who calls the name of the Risen Son
They shall be saved by His precious blood
Oh mighty work that God has done!

Dry Bones
Lyrics
Dry bones
Hearts of stone
Slain and left
In the valley of death
Been dead so long
All the flesh is gone
A mass grave
No one can raise
But you said “live”
And the ground it gives
And the bones start to rattle
And the darkness lifts
And you give them blood and bone and
Hearts of stone to flesh
You give them muscle, skin
And life within the breath
Open graves
Bodies raised
The living breath
Reversing death

Everything You’ve Heard
Lyrics
You’ve heard it said, “don’t you murder anyone”
But you carry your anger like a knife
And your insults like a gun
You’ve heard it said, “don’t you cheat on your wife”
But your mind is a motel room
And you undress the other woman with your eyes
Oh everything you’ve heard, I’m turning on its head
I’m cutting to the quick of the law and the prophets
I’m gonna finish what they said
You’ve heard it said “A king will come with a sword”
But I tell you to turn the other cheek
And I’ll wear a crown of thorns
Yes I’m the son of the One,
But I’ve come to wage another war
And I’ll bleed for my enemies
And I’ll settle the score

From Him, to Him
Lyrics
O, the depths of the riches
Of the wisdom and the knowledge
Of our God, our God
How unsearchable his judgments
How unfathomable his ways!
Who could be His counselor?
Could give Him a gift He must repay?
For from Him and to Him
All things through Him (Amen!)
Honor, power
Glory forever to Him (Amen!)
He was in the beginning
His blood has bought our peace
Over, above, before
The Son, the risen Lord
Exalted over everything!

Garden
Lyrics
Beauty from void, dark to light
Sun for the day, stars for the night
For you I’ll plant a garden, fill it with light
Food for your mouth and color for eyes, and...
I will breathe into the dust
The breath of life and all my love
And when you open your eyes
You will see and be satisfied
Because I will be with you
I will be with you, I
Fall asleep; I’ll make for you a love
Love like a shield, like a home, like a dove
You are free, but ever enthralled
And I, I will be your all, and...
Pick the lies right off the tree
Your eyes are opened but not to see
Build a tower to the sky
You think you know, you think you're wise
Melt your gold down to a god
Sell your soul to pay for your facade
Trade your truth for silence
I’ll let you loose if you want it

Gethsemane (Heavy Load to Carry)
Lyrics
I climbed a mountain with three friends
Feel the darkness pressing in
I ask them to please stay awake
And I go off alone to pray
Father, please would you take this cup?
It’s a heavy load to carry
But not my will, but what you want
Until I’m dead and buried
Sweat and blood they fall like tears
It seems the last star’s disappeared
Death it comes to separate
And my friends can’t stay awake
They came with clubs to capture me
An old friend he kissed my cheek
And all my friends they ran away
And I’m alone, denied, betrayed
My God, my God’s forsaken me
Hanging broken on a tree
“Who can save you now?” they laugh
The darkness comes, I breathe my last

He is Risen
Lyrics
He is risen, He is risen
And the stone is rolled away
He is risen, He is risen
Proven by the empty grave
Touch his wounds, his hands, his side
And leave all your doubts behind
He is risen, He is risen
He is risen and alive
Death is beaten, sin is vanquished
God’s just wrath is satisfied
Christ is risen, Christ exalted
Seated at the Father’s side
His body torn, our living way
Our living hope, His body raised
He is risen, He isrisen
He is risen from the grave
He is risen, He is risen
This is all my hope and stay
He is risen, He is risen
He is risen from the grave!
Jesus risen is returning
We are longing for the day
When the King will bring the kingdom
For this blessed hope we wait
The trumpet sounds and we are changed
And we will see him face to face
Jesus risen, Jesus risen
Jesus risen from the grave
The trumpet sounds and we are changed
And death itself will pass away
We are risen, with him risen
We are risen from the grave

The Passover Song
Lyrics
There’s a promise in our veins
But it’s faded by all these years in chains
Send a prophet, send the plagues
That by sunrise we will no more be slaves
Take the lamb, take the blood
And paint it on our doorways
At night death will come but pass us by
This is all our hope and peace
In the morning we will rise
Taste the freedom we thought we’d never find
We will dance now in the streets
Once held captive now we shall live as kings
Lift your head, your voice
And sing of your salvation
Of theblood of the lamb that gave us life
Now by this we’ll overcome
Now by this we’ll reach our home
There’s a poison in our veins
And it leads to death we cannot escape
Send a ransom, a perfect Son
Remedy the curse with His precious blood
And the Lamb that will come
His cross will be our doorway
And the red of His blood will make us white
And daughters and sons
Rejoice in resurrection
And death swallowed up in endless life
Glory, glory this I sing
All my praise for this I bring
Naught of good that I have done
Nothing but the blood of Jesus
