The Year of His Favor (Isaiah 61)
Lyrics
Verse 1:
The Spirit of the Lord is on you
A King anointed for the cross
To the helpless you bring good news
You come to bind the broken heart
Verse 2:
Speaking freedom to the captive
Comfort to the ones who grieve
To the downcast, you bring justice
To the needy one, relief
Chorus:
You give beauty for ashes
You pour out the oil of gladness
The year of his favor comes
The year of his favor
You give to the weak and faint
A garment of joy and praise
The year of his favor comes...
Verse 3:
You come to raise up what’s been ruined
Rivers in a desert waste
You are the Lord and you will do this
For the glory of your name
Chorus
Turn:
Come, Lord! Come, Lord! Come, Lord! Come, Lord!
Bridge:
The broken dance, the blind will see
The sick are healed, the mute will sing
The dead alive, the sinner free
The kingdom’s here, At last, the King!
Chorus to Turn

Comfort, Oh Comfort
Lyrics
Verse 1:
Comfort, oh comfort
To every place that is scorched and dry Comfort, speak comfort
To every darkness in need of the light
Chorus:
In the wilderness, the green of Eden
In the wasteland, the garden blooms
Up from the desert, springs a river
For He is making everything new
Oh oh
Verse 2:
Comfort, oh comfort
There is a highway through this dry land
They will call him a Man of Sorrows
And like a seed, buried deep to rise again
Chorus
Verse 3:
Comfort, oh comfort
For the ransomed will return with a song
And with joy, we’ll come into Zion
And all our sorrow, all our sighing will be gone

Joy (As Far As the Curse Is Found)
Lyrics
Verse 1:
Eternal God, there at the beginning
Stepping into time, into the world
All for love, the infinite descending
To kick inside the womb of a girl
Verse 2:
A king is born, far from any palace
Bending low to serve instead
Majesty, He’s given up his status
Robed in the weakness of the flesh
Pre-chorus:
Unto us a child is born
Heaven coming down to earth
Joy to all the weary world
The human soul will feel it’s worth
Chorus:
Joy to the world Good, good news
O come let us adore Him
Joy to the world
It’s breaking through
He’s come and he will come again
Verse 3:
Let’s go with the wise men
Laying down our treasures
Falling on our knees to give him praise
With the angel choir
Singing to the shepherds
Glory to God in the highest place
Pre-chorus:
Unto us a child is born
Heaven coming down to earth
Joy to all the weary world
The human soul will feel it’s worth
It’s worth!
Chorus:
Joy to the world Good, good news
O come let us adore Him
Joy to the world
It’s breaking through
He’s come and he will come again
Bridge:
As far as the curse is found
As far as the curse is found
As far as the curse is found
As far as the curse is found
(Joy to the world)
As far as the curse is found
(Let earth receive her king)
As far as the curse is found
(Let all creation sing)
As far as the curse is found
(And let his blessings flow)
As far as the curse is found
(Til the whole world knows!)

Turn stony hearts to flesh
Redeem us from captivity

There Will Be a Day (Isaiah 2)
Lyrics
Verse 1:
There will be a day when the house of God
Like a mountain o’er the hills will be lifted up
As a river flows ever to the sea
All the nations will flow to Him Like a living stream
Verse 2:
There will be a day when the prince of peace
Will break the bow and sword and make all wars cease
And our guns and bombs will be melted down
Into plowshares for the harvest, how we’re longing for it now
Chorus:
When we’ll go to the mountain of God
We’ll walk in His ways
We’ll look on His face
We’ll go to the mountain of God
We’ll cast down our pride
And walk in His light
On the mountain of God
Verse 3:
There will be a day, and it’s drawing near
When He’ll lift the veil of death and He’ll dry our tears
And with joy we’ll go to His wedding feast
And His glory will fill up the earth like the waters fill the sea

We Wait for You
Lyrics
Verse 1:
A broken mirror, painted black
There is no light reflected back
Thorns grow up where there was green
All sorrow, shame and broken things
Paradise has barred its doors
Its guarded by the flaming swords
We can’t go back, we can’t go back
Chorus:
We wait, we wait for You
Come with your light
We wait, we wait
Verse 2:
A forest cut down by the axe
Like the end of the story
When it’s all turned to ash
But up from the stump, the bud of a flower
A seed of hope in the eleventh hour
And from the shadow the sun will rise
The people in darkness will see a great light We’re longing, praying for the dawn
Chorus:
We wait, we wait for You
Come with your light
We wait, we wait for You
Come with your light
We wait, we wait
Verse 3:
He takes the thorns upon His head
His body pierced, His arms outstretched
Says “It is finished,” and the sun went down
We laid His body in the ground
But life oh life comes bursting forth
And paradise swings wide its doors
Our King will rise to take His throne
And He will return to lead us home
To dry every tear and right every wrong
How long, O Lord? How long? How long?
Chorus 2:
We wait, we wait for You
Come with Your light
We wait, we wait for You
Come with Your light
We wait, we wait for You
Come with Your light
We wait, we wait for You
Come with Your light
We wait, we wait
We wait, we wait
We wait, we wait
For You

Verse 1:
There is a mountain only the lame can climb
There is a table only the hungry find
Only the beggar will have the currency
When need is all you need
Verse 2:
There is a victory only the conquered gain
There is a glory that you get when give up your name
Oh the peace when you finally yield yourfight
In surrender rise

Come with open hands in need
Come hearts broken, bended knee
A gift can only be received
Received

Come to the mountain, He carries the cripple to the feast
Come to the table, come sit,He has saved you a seat
Come and eat and drink without money and without a cost
He has paid it on the cross

The King bends low to wash our feet
To give himself as an offering
To lead us home to that wedding feast

The shroud will lift, our tears he’ll dry
Come hungry souls be satisfied
Both now and forever

Habakkuk's Prayer (Still I Will Rejoice)
Taken directly from Habakkuk 3:17-19. In the beginning of the book, Habakkuk questions God's justice as he anticipates His judgment on Judah through Babylon. But by the end, Habakkuk trusts God - as evidenced by this beautiful prayer. As Job blessed God's name even in the midst of personal disaster, Habakkuk blesses God's name and vows to rejoice in Him even in anticipation of national disaster.
Lyrics
Though the fig tree does not blossom
And no fruit be on the vine
Though the fields all will fail
And the flock we cannot find
Still I will rejoice
I will take joy in the Lord
The God of my salvation
He is my strength
He makes my feet like the deer
To dwell in the high places
And still I will rejoice

Dry Bones
Lyrics
Dry bones
Hearts of stone
Slain and left
In the valley of death
Been dead so long
All the flesh is gone
A mass grave
No one can raise
But you said “live”
And the ground it gives
And the bones start to rattle
And the darkness lifts
And you give them blood and bone and
Hearts of stone to flesh
You give them muscle, skin
And life within the breath
Open graves
Bodies raised
The living breath
Reversing death

Your Wounds
Lyrics
Oh man of sorrows
Hated and despised
So marred, so ugly
We all turned our eyes
Like sheep we’ve wandered
Going our own way
It pleased the Father
To crush You in our place
Your wounds, our healing
Your stripes, our peace
You carried our sorrows
You carried our griefs
Your suffering our hope
You poured out your soul
Unto death
So we could be counted
Righteous
Sinless one who takes our sins
Dying one our death condemns
Bearing our guilt though innocent
But the grave can’t hold you in
